CMS Settlement Rep – Decatur, IL
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.
General
The Global Business Services CMS department has an opportunity for the right candidate to become part of a team that offers a variety of responsibilities and challenges. The CMS Settlement group is responsible for maintaining Truck, Rail, Barge and Vessel accounts for multiple ADM locations and outside trade customers. This includes all transactional responsibilities related to contracting, payment, and invoicing of corn, soybeans, wheat, rice, soybean meal, corn co products, Wheat Midds and containers along with all freight, brokerage and demurrage transactions. A strong candidate will be a team player, enjoys problem solving and works well with internal and external customers.
Experience
- An Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred
- Minimum of three years of ADM experience or equivalent is preferred
- Working Knowledge of Agris, J.D. Edwards, OPGO/FCGO/PCGO and MS Office suite is preferred
Job Requirements
- Develop knowledge of grain, soybean meal, corn co, wheat midds, freight, brokerage and demurrage settlement practices and procedures
- Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem solving skills, and able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
- Possess a proven track record of being dependable, reliable, able to meet strict deadlines, and a strong desire to help others including both internal and external clients
- Good organizational skills with the ability to function in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of ADM Accounting Systems including Agris, J.D. Edwards, OPGO/FCGO/PCGO, A/P, and A/R preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of NGFA Trade Rules preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process settlements for grain, soybean meal, corn co, wheat midds and container activity timely and accurately
- Process contract changes, washes and cancellations
- Process freight, demurrage and despatch invoices and payments
- Process wire advances
- Master Agris settlement functions
- Master OPGO/FCGO/PCGO payments and invoicing
- Ability to learn J.D. Edwards with ability to inquire and processes AR reports
- Work closely with all GBS colleagues to ensure excellent customer service
- Assist all customers, merchandisers and other personnel in a professional manner
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities in Agris and OPGO settlement processes and procedures
- Cross train on other Settlement responsibilities
