Job Description

Efficiently and effectively safeguards property that belongs to the hotel, team members, and guests. Oversees the safety and well-being of guests and guests.

Perform a continuous foot patrol of the entire property while maintaining constant communication with PB, the MO, D, or other associates as required. Respond to and investigate all hotel-related accidents involving guests, team members, and vehicles/property. Investigate all criminal activity on the property coordinating all activities with the Police Department as necessary. Monitor team members to ensure rules and regulations in the Handbook regarding parking, safety, and security are followed. Monitor team members’ ingress and egress to and from the property. Provide escorts for team members with cash banks and late-night team member departure. Oversee departmental check-in and check-out. Efficiently handle lost and found items in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper. Assist guests in solving unusual problems.
Follow department and hotel fire prevention and emergency procedures. Maintain a chronological log of activities and observations. Supervise parking of all vehicles. Immediately report all discrepancies to the Manager on Duty/General Manager. Complete all necessary reports as directed. Immediately report all violations of hotel and company policy to the immediate Supervisor or Department head. Use proper radio procedures and hotel policies. Protect and follow department procedures for all master keys. Escort and witness cash drops when requested. Assist in the shipping-receiving operation as directed. Have a working knowledge of the hotel’s guest room key system.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and other Responsibilities: Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates to respond accurately and ultimately to people to give directions, instructions, and information, answer questions and provide service as required. Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods. Walk on flat or uneven ground and climb stairs. Walk and run to respond to any area of the hotel property quickly and safely in emergencies. Handle equipment of approximately 25 pounds. Handle, stoop, twist, bend, lift and reach to physically assist an adult individual requiring emergency care, requiring bodily support, and restraint. Certified in CPR.
