Job Description

The Leading Niche (TLN) is looking for a Library Support Administrator to join our team supporting the Information Services Group of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Library Support Administrator will be responsible for: reference and research, collection development and management, acquisition of print and non-print resources, cataloging and processing new materials, circulation and routing of information resources, and content creation and management for the agency’s intranet.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor data access request queues to ensure requests are progressing
  • Triage certain data access requests by reviewing the request and assigning tasks to others, as appropriate
  • Monitor and triage email communication inbox to ensure communications are addressed expeditiously
  • Perform minor health checks on systems to confirm that they are operating as expected
  • Perform non-complex record updates to the SEC’s Data Catalog
  • Assist in coordinating library trainings, including scheduling trainings with vendors, distributing the training schedule, and providing training attendees with calendar invitations
  • Download usage reports from specified vendors’ websites
  • Compare Library’s record of users to identified services to vendor provided records
  • Schedule meetings for stakeholders of various Library groups and maintain minutes and related materials for those meetings and groups
  • Backup for in-person staffing of the Library’s reference desk
  • Other records maintenance tasks related to the Library’s account request system, the Data Catalog, the Library’s dashboards, the Library’s intranet site, and the Library’s Integrated Library System (Catalog)
  • Work with appropriate library staff to resolve any recurring problems

Workplace: Hybrid – expectation of 2 days on-site in Washington, DC, to include Mondays.

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
