Your profile

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED with 1 -3years machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift andbe flexible enough to work 1st or 3rd shift on occasionas business requires.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read andinterpret blueprints.
• Have a general knowledge and understanding ofmachining and CNC programming methods.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, withbasic to intermediate computer skills.
• Displays an attitude conducive to progressthrough positive change, continuous improvement and active contributor to theteamwork concept.
• This position requires employees to be fully vaccinatedagainst COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious accommodation.

Your responsibilities

• Plan, layout and perform all machine operationson both conventional and N/C machines to construct, alter, repair and finish avariety of parts. Maintain closetolerances.
• Produce parts from past prints, samples,sketches or drawings and check work, using standard and/or special gaugingdevices to assure conformity and to maintain quality standards.
• Deburr, file, grind, chip, and fit parts madefrom cast iron, cast steel, malleable iron, nodular iron, sheet and barsteel. Remove burrs, fins and sharpedges using belt sanders, electric bench grinders, air operator rotary files,and hand files.
• Set tools and make all adjustments required ontooling, both standard and present, changing presetting when necessary.
• Operate material handling equipment, such as,but not restricted to, hand truck, fork or lift truck, crane, hoist, etc. forincidental delivery or receiving or material to or from adjoining areas of theshop.
• Diagnose and remedy trouble. Ensure coolant logs are maintained. Keep machines clean and lubricated, followingperiodic check list for preventive maintenance and aid in machine repair. Work areas are to be kept neat, clean, safeand orderly.
• It is expected that employees will demonstratetheir capability and willingness to learn and operate all departmentalequipment and machines in assigned area.
