We are looking for a Purchasing Expediter for our Deland, FL office!

Summary:
The Materials Expediter position is responsible for utilizing knowledge of supply chain and logistics to analyze daily changes in raw material demand, to assist in the timely arrival of shipments to Kingspan manufacturing sites across North America.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Maintain consistent lines of communication with Production, Logistics, Customer Service, and Scheduling departments to ensure customer deadlines are met at a cost-competitive and JIT environment.
  • Oversee SAP PO maintenance of current price and quantity information; department and supplier product information; supplier contracts, servicing agreements, etc.
  • Create and prepare analysis and usage reports to support purchasing decisions.
  • Support purchasing activities in the steel commodity.
  • Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects, assign materials and employees to reduce cost, boost productivity and prevent delays that can affect delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
  • Associates degree in a related field plus 2+ years of experience in procurement capacity; preferably in a manufacturing business.
  • 5+ years experience in purchasing/procurement if no degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Computer Skills:
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced skills needed for VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Required ERP experience.
  • Preferred SAP.

  • Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
