Essential Functions:

• Creates preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to be used during product design process.
• Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, and conformity to Company standards.
• Develops and designs products and assemblies using CAD software and drafting tools.
• Investigates and develops solutions to problems of limited scope and complexity; drafts reports detailing investigations, problems, and solutions.
• Assists in maintaining reliability compliance processes and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
• Works with other engineers to create and implement production operating procedures.
• Reviews product specifications and determines design requirements and scope of work.
• Generates design concepts in conformance with product specifications and established engineering principles.
• Provides technical and mechanical support to production departments for established processes.
• Supports the risk management activities for medical devices.
• Assists in some phases of product development as directed.
• Assists in the analysis of designs.
• Assists in process and/or equipment troubleshooting
• Conducts tests utilizing established test protocols.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved. Advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum six (6) months of experience in an Engineering position or internship preferred.
• Class II medical device R&D experience preferred.
• CAD experience using SolidWorks or equivalent
