Assistant Director - Child Care Center

Kids HQ is currently seeking a motivated, experienced Assistant Director for our child care center in Oshkosh. This is a salary position, based on experience and would require you to be available to work Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our staff is discouraged from working overtime and we offer unpaid and paid time off with the expectation that you are a team player who can make sure the center is thriving, even in your absence.

As the Assistant Director, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Direct contact for staff questions and concerns

- Oversee day to day operations of the center in the absence of the Center Directors.

- Immerse yourself in Youngstar best practices to strive for highest ratings.

- Monitor staff timesheets for accuracy.

- Monitor daycare tracking software and staff

- Assist Administrative staff with maintaining state compliant children and staff files

- Onboarding for new staff and orientation

- Assist with classroom reviews and performance improvement

- Assist with licensing evaluations and center-level continuous improvements

- Classroom Coverage when needed

-Assist with hiring and scheduling to guarantee adequate staffing

-Support staff with training and continuing education for curriculum implementations

-Assist with tours and new family enrollments

- Purchasing of supplies and equipment

- Menu development and implementation

- Parent Communications

- Parent Engagement

- Communication between accounting department and families for tuition payments and billing

- Monitoring of staff credentials and continuing education requirements

- Maintaining staff and center profiles on The Registry

- Create professional development plans for each staff member

- Willingness to fill in any role as needed to support the team’s success

Requirements:

-Be a team player that understands a small center requires everyone to do their share

-Able to delegate effectively to team members

-Accept responsibility for guaranteeing staff coverage is adequate at all times

-Commit to being reliable and punctual for your work hours to set a good example

-Passionate about seeing our center become a preferred place to work and for children to attend

-Participate in continuing education and have the minimum educational requirements as outlined by the State of Wisconsin and The Registry.

-Must be willing to obtain Center Director qualification on the Registry if not currently qualified.

-Familiarity with Google suite of applications (Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc) preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
