Experienced Professional
This position will be accountable for weld repairing Gas Turbine components, such as combustion systems using GTAW processes (and others), cold working and manipulating parts to serviceable condition and tolerances. Most welded material types will be Superalloys. The successful candidate must pass internal welding test, have 3 years of experience, must be self-motivating, mechanically capable and work well with other team members.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
- Keep safety as the priority in every process step
- Adhere to all company and Plant specific safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Recognize, report and correct safety hazards upon identification
Fabrication
- Weld Nickel and Stainless based materials of various thickness (typically 3 mm thick). Blend down welds as appropriate without compromising base material.
- Cold work parts to within drawing tolerances.
- Verifying parts by measuring and inspecting for conformance.
- Utilize part blueprint, and computes dimensions to plan sequence of operations for fabrication
- Use computer to input documentation and move finished material to the next process area
