About us:

• We are a family-owned business in Mesa for 35 years and have a dependable small team, we invite you to be one of our team members. Our restaurant is called Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant and we serve a mix of Mandarin and Szechuan style of Chinese food.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat customers.
• Take food and drink orders and deliver drinks and food to tables.
• Provide customers with check and pay bill.
• Clean tableware, dining area and restaurant premises.

Preferred experience and skills:

• No prior experience is required, we want someone that is motivated to work hard and learn new skills!
• Customer service experience are preferred, but not required. We want to know that you can be comfortable with working with customers and communicating their needs.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition. We are asking you to be dependable in communicating what ingredients are in our dishes (example: type of sauce, type of vegetables, allergen awareness) to better serve our customers' needs.
• Knowledge of Chinese is preferred, but not required. Spanish speakers are also preferred.

Education:

• We are flexible with students and other people looking for a second job. No other education required for this job.

What we will offer:

• Competitive pay: Our salary ranges from $20-$25 (with tips) per hour. We are a very high traffic restaurant with great pay!

• Paid training: We will train you how to use our POS system, write short-hand for orders, and take customer orders over the phone.

Shifts availability needed:

• Monday, Tuesday: 12 hour shift (10:30-9:30PM)
• Saturday, Sunday: 4 hour shift (4:00-8:00PM) - TAKEOUT Packer
• Saturday, Sunday: 12 hour shift (10:30-10:00pm, 11:00-9:00PM)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
