Product Delivery Program Manager

You are strategic thinker that has brought cohesiveness across disconnected teams to ensure they are collaborating in line with roles toward the common goal of delivering prioritized solutions.

As a the leader of the Program Management Office (PMO) for Merchant Services Product - Boarding, Customer Service Product & Operations, and Firm-wide Integration; you will support development of PMO standards aligned to the Acquiring Platform Rails (APR) Portfolio office, provide oversight and structure of intake into the book of work from APR and across internal domains, provide view of end-to-end delivery plan for the product's vision all the way through operational readiness using JIRA. Your leadership will implement consistency across project managers and serve as central point in the collection quarterly business review (QBR) plans, Portfolio Business Review (PBR) & Domain requirements. This will require your influencing skills to ensure that teams are aligned to priority and standards, Risk and Issue portfolio view consolidation, JIRA hygiene is correct, and improve partner team feedback loops. Your documentation and meetings will ensure product owners and tech teams understand the process, and stay in compliance, including abiding by audit and change management standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with product and technology project managers to ensure quarterly business plans are correct, in line with priorities, have appropriate sizing/requirements, and follow the process standards/timeline. Ensure there is a visible trending BoW available at all times in JIRA.
  • Ensure there is a portfolio view of all items as they travel through the intake process. Provide visibility of what is new, approved by management to go forward, in refinement, versus prioritized for delivery.
  • Develop and publish standards, best practice guides, and views of "what good looks like" for JIRA at all levels. Influence acceptance of practices, listen to feedback, while still making forward progress. Ensure there are portfolio level dashboards that provide executive friendly roadmaps based on implementation of agreed to standards. Utilize JIRA hygiene reports and other sources to enforce practice.
  • Lead regular reviews meetings of intake, current and upcoming portfolio view with risks and issues with executive leadership. Partner with the strategy team to ensure that our teams report the same messages and priorities. Support reduction of duplicated decks, reduce need for decks.
  • Work closely with Domain (Product Side) Project managers to align work to the appropriate milestones, deliverables, and portfolio priorities. Ensure the processes are followed by our teams in the creation and ownership of deliverables.
  • Partner with technology project management manager to re-establish appropriate roles and responsibilities across our product and tech project managers. Apply standards to our two APR domains, as well as to our firm wide integration team.
  • Direct management of 1 or more resources to accomplish goals of the PMO. Set goals and provide frequent coaching.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) as product owner, project manager, or technology portfolio manager for complex products/projects/organization
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, desire to build efficiency, and a leadership style that fosters teamwork and collaborations across stakeholders and partners at all levels
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to describe the desired outcome, or story in such a way that is clear to the audience. Know your audience, and anticipate information needs.
  • Displays technical acumen required to lead technology roadmap execution. Demonstrates critical thinking, judgement, problem solving, develops recommendations and influence implementation to close gaps.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying management level stakeholders
  • Adaptable in a consistently fast changing environment, with the ability to quickly learn new processes and apply them across a large team.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong knowledge of software product development lifecycle with exposure to payments/merchant service business
  • Expert understanding of Agile process with extensive use of JIRA to manage across large number of teams
  • Strong understanding of firm-wide risk and controls as it relates to technology and product delivery
  • BA/BS in business or engineering or consulting experience
