The ideal candidate:

• Has at least one year experience

Job Overview:
As an experienced technician, you will be a key player in servicing our client appointment and medical needs. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced doctors and to grow in your profession!

Job Duties:

• Check patients into rooms, obtain patient history and TPR
• Restrain both dogs and cats
• Calculate drug dosages
• Administer medications (oral, IM, IV, etc.) and other patient treatments.
• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters.
• Obtain patient radiographs
• Perform in-house laboratory tests — CBC and blood chemistry, urinalysis, ear, and skin cytology.
• Induce and monitor anesthesia
• Perform canine and feline dental cleanings
• Educate clients about various aspects of animal health
• Maintain patient records using Vetspire practice management software.

Job Requirements:

• Prefer one year of recent experience in a small animal hospital
• Commitment to working within a team environment
• Positive, will-do attitude!
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven ability to multi-task in a busy work setting
• Professional demeanor and outgoing personality
