Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for an Verification Specialist for our Onboarding Approvals team.

This is a remote position with potential travel into our main office in Lake Success, NY or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.

Department & Position Overview:

Join our growing team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! As FreedomCare grows, so do the opportunities. The Verification Specialist position will/can expect:

  • Focus on processing caregiver & patient documents such as Employment identification, photos, direct deposits, and correcting specific caregiver or patient forms such as M13D, MOU, I-9 forms and pay rate agreements.
  • Support Caregivers and Patients who have submitted documents that are needed to complete the hiring process.
  • Training and continued education will be provided to ensure you are informed of USCIS requirements and any other departmental changes that could be made.

Every Day You Will:

  • Use great attention to detail while processing caregiver and patient employment and identification documents
  • Create and update documents for caregivers & patients such as pay rate agreements, I-9 forms, M13D, MOUs etc.
  • Use My Step to retrieve, approve/reject and advise Caregivers on documents missing to meet I-9 Form requirements.
  • Work off an I-9 documents report to review and approve or deny I-9 documents that have been submitted.
  • Manage & process the I-9 folder which continues to serve as another secure method to receive employment documents or patient identification documents
  • Communicate effectively with intake & onboarding coordinators on what is still missing for caregivers or patients after processing their documents
  • Updating I-9 Form status after processing documents

Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Great attention to detail & manages time efficiently
  • Knowledge of I-9 Document requirements
  • Ability to articulate I-9 statuses through detailed notes on salesforce for others to understand
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently over the telephone with eager clients when update documents
  • Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology as we continue to implement changes

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, or other languages desired
  • Familiar with various types of Employment Documents
