Job Description:
An Underwriter (Analyst) is the secondary level of review of small to mid-market business credit applications up to their approved signing authority. They must display proficiency in utilizing commercial credit data, financial documents, business models, and industry trends to arrive at a decision that mitigates loss and reduces risk to the Client. Developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide and influence our internal and external partners. Competently prepare timely, concise, and comprehensive business cases for complex lending requests with the ability to use judgment and strategic guidelines when the request is above the signing authority. Support development and execution of system automation, process, and policy standardization.
Performs in-depth financial analysis data utilizing ratios, trends, and credit profiles to underwrite credit applications, with exposures ?$150,000.
Oversees credit application process to include business verification and determine credit limits for all channels (except Enterprise) within the Client division for Business.
Prepares comprehensive business cases above their authority level to present a recommendation.
Responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed.
Effectively corresponds to internal and external partners via message, email, and phone call.
