Job Description

We are in search of a skilled driver with a Class A or B Commercial driver's license, experienced in CMV. The job involves operating a straight truck. The role is part of a union, with top-notch health insurance benefits starting February 1, 2023, and no contribution from the employee.

Our working days are from Monday to Friday. Our delivery services cover Long Island, NYC, Northern NJ, and New England.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position involves hauling glass shipments to local customers using a company-assigned rack truck. This involves frequent handling of glass products both by hand and with suction cups.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old (necessary to cross state lines)
  • Possess a valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence to operate the type of equipment the applicant will be driving
  • At least two (2) years of verifiable, incident-free driving experience driving at least a class A orB commercial motor vehicle
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record over the last three years and no major traffic violations have occurred on your driving record.
  • Occasional overnights may be required.

Preferences

  • Glass experience is helpful but not necessary
  • Knowledge of the NY tri-state area is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
  • Must be able to lift/move up to 75 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with the same climate conditions of the region(Heat, humidity, etc.)
