Job summary

As a GDS (Global Document Services) Transactions Supervisor, you will be responsible for daily operations for the financial card production processes department. Additional departments include: Manual Document Processing, Print Operations, Verify/Dispatch Operations, Warehouse Operations, and Quality Assurance.

Important piece of information: GDS is a 24hr/6day operation, including holidays. As a Supervisor within this department you will be required to work a variable schedule as deemed by production needs.

Job Responsibilities

Transactions Supervisor is responsible for a variety processes including but not limited to the following:
  • Ensures that all processes are completed within specific guidelines as mandated by VISA and MasterCard
  • Conform to and uphold all audit standards as outlined in process procedures
  • Communicate and work with technicians to resolve machine related problems
  • Additionally, must be able to maintain all quality and productivity department standards
  • This position is also responsible for ensuring that all finished products contain the correct production attributes. These attributes include, but are not limited to: correct card carrier number, correct card form number, and correct insert number(s).

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Requires previous work experience in a related work environment with a m inimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience Production / Operations
  • Machine preparation and clean up must be performed
  • Provide guidance and formal written performance and development evaluations for front-line staff
  • Daily communication to staff surrounding high productivity, excellent quality, and employee engagement
  • Responsible for shift operations and pass on updates, informing manager(s) and peers of process delays or breakdowns, effectively lead change where necessary
  • Ability to work successfully under tight time constraints in a fast-paced environment, able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on feet for 5-8 hours

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Previous machine operator experience preferable along with understanding of Microsoft Office software. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Comfortable working in a secure environment and working in an area that is under constant surveillance
  • Candidate should be able to organize, prioritize and multitask with strong planning and time-management skills
  • Candidate will be expected to be customer focused with a commitment to Total Quality Management philosophies.
