Description:
Exciting opportunity to join the Advanced Technology Group and help build out the R&D, Testing a Validation team to support a global industry leader. This group has a dedicated focus on customer-centric learning and the application of advanced technologies throughout various business units. This role will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tests on components, assemblies, and units under test and insures timely and accurate test results under the supervision of the validation engineer.
Instrument and acquire data on components, sub-assemblies, and units under test using prescribed lab and field test conditions
Operates prototype and/or production units using prescribed test conditions
Initiates and maintains test logs, provides test summaries
Completes maintenance and teardown inspections on units under test
Assists in lab facility maintenance
Assists in design and construction of test fixtures
Assists in acquiring, maintaining, and calibrating lab equipment and instrumentation
Experience with data acquisition systems
Hands on trouble shooting mechanical and electrical systems
work with with high voltage DC or AC systems
read electrical diagrams, make harnesses, soldering, machining, welding
Test procedures with instrumentation and data collection
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Two-year associates degree in a technical field
3+ years of experience working as a technician
Experience with lab instrumentation
Experience within the on-road or off-road vehicle, automotive, or transportation industry preferred
