DENTAL PROVIDER RELATIONS TERRITORY MANAGER
This position serves as an integral member of the Professional Relations Team. Individual will report directly to the Professional Relations Regional Manager and will support the service model through management of the Cigna Dental Health Care Professional relationships and day to day contracting activities for a given territory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support and retention of offices in our dental networks
Complete onsite quality assessments
Respond to provider inquiries, concerns, complaints, appeals and grievances
Provide ongoing product education to dentists and their staff
Support internal electronic services goals
Assist with escalated member grievances
Conduct financial negotiations and draft individual and group contracts
Manage and work within a budget
Ensure smooth operation and administration of provider agreements
Track financial performance of contracts and ensure compliance with contracting guidelines
Demonstrate knowledge of Health Care Professionals in assigned geographic area
Work with internal/external partners/customers to resolve complex and/or escalated and sensitive issues
Support state specific regulations/requirements (attending meetings, audits, compliance activities)
Other projects and duties as assigned
PREFERRED POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience
Must be a self starter and very organized
Dental office/Clinical Knowledge a plus
Knowledge of Dental PPO and HMO products
Knowledge of Medicare products
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Ability to work in Microsoft Excel and to learn specialized databases/systems quickly
Strong skill set required in the following areas: analytical, negotiations, financials, presentation skills, written and oral communication skills
Ability to successfully develop relationships
Detail oriented
Will be responsible for NH, RI, VT, ME, CT, & MA territory
Ability to travel up to 25%
