JOB OVERVIEW: ARRC is currently seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor for our growing site team. Duties include performing topography, construction stakeout, as built and control surveys using both conventional and GPS methods. A successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized and technology oriented. The candidate must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate calculations and work in a team environment. . The Construction Surveyor will report directly to the Lead Surveyor.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Stakeout all aspects of site projects
• Support site crews and GPS systems
• Perform As-builts
  

• Perform office computations for stakeout
• Perform other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of experience as a construction layout surveyor with a strong focus on quality
• Proficient with both GPS and conventional robotic systems (experience with Trimble equipment a plus)
• Proficient with using conventional laser lever foresight/backsight
• Perform takeoffs & plan measurements, quantity takeoffs.
• Strong technical skills, attention to detail and knowledge of construction drawings (building and site)
• Able to perform basic computer skills utilizing MS office and various software tools (Trimble Business center a plus)
• Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
• Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
• Must have strong writing and communication skills
• Experience in wetland/stream/environmental construction preferred
• Valid driver’s license
