Provide leadership and support within the Visionworks Employee Benefits and Leave Management team as part of the larger VSP Vision structure
Oversee implementation of internal policies, benefit programs, leave procedures, and system updates
Partner with benefit providers to resolve complex, critical, and/or sensitive issues
Responsible for coordinating tasks, assigning, distributing, and monitoring work of team members ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely processing of the work
Monitor team performance; provide prompt, objective coaching and counseling
Monitor product quality, ensuring business processes are being followed to ensure quality of service. Resolve complex issues, recommending value-added solutions to ensure client expectations are met
Acts as point of contact for escalated client or internal business partner issues. Respond to inquiries according to established procedures while meeting VSP standards of operational excellence and client satisfaction
Work collaboratively with all members of the HR team, demonstrating the ability to innovate, adapt and be flexible
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a business-related environment
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to analyze work processes and drive changes
Strong organizational skills - ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Understanding of federal and state regulations regarding employee benefit programs and leave laws
