  • Be a part of an energetic and vibrant team in a growing business unit.
  • Perform preliminary analysis of existing building structural systems and elements to support proposed improvements.
  • Design structural elements and enhancements to support replaced and new equipment on existing buildings.
  • Design new structures for new solar PV arrays including ground-mount, canopy, and roof-mounted applications.
  • Supervise the production of required bid, permit and construction drawings
  • Coordinate and oversee the submission of all required documents to Division of State Architects and other code authorities.
  • Use expertise and independent judgement to review and interpret technical documents from other consultants (geotechnical engineering reports, civil engineering plans, etc.)
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with construction contract documents
  • Assist in cost estimating of structural scope.
  • Provide construction administration of structural scope
  • Perform field investigation, as required.
  • Develop and maintain project plan to ensure scope, schedule, and budget correspond with team expectations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Contribute to strategizing the sale of a project and assisting in sales presentations.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
This job might be for you if:
  • Four-year accredited engineering degree
  • 7-15 years relevant work experience
  • California Professional Structural Engineer License. Ability to become licensed in other states.
  • Thorough understanding of California Building Codes (CBC)and code-dictated sizing and design standards.
  • Significant experience in the submittal, review, approval, and acceptance process with California Division of State Architect.
  • Experience in performing lateral and gravity analysis and design of structures utilizing wood, steel, masonry, aluminum, and concrete systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and / Revit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to listen effectively and solicit input from others


The U.S. compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $95,000-$120,000 for candidates located within the U.S. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
