Anchor Glass Container is accepting resumes for the position of Storeroom (Parts Room) Supervisor at our Shakopee, Minnesota location. This plant has been in existence since 1961 and has provided steady employment to employees over the years.

Anchor is a leading manufacturer of glass containers. We provide a premium package for our customers, so that their products stand out when they appear on retail shelves. The glass containers that we manufacture are used in the food, beverage, beer and liquor industries. This plant has been in existence since 1961 and has provided steady employment to employees over the years.

This position is responsible for the following:

• Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and received
• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures
• Ensures adequate and accurate inventory of materials and products in accord with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy
• Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems
• Develops and implements inventory control procedures
• Prepares packages for mailing thru different carriers as well as associated paperwork
• Supervises and gives direction and training as needed to the direct reports of this position
• Monitor and provide analysis of outstanding invoices
• Work with and communicate directly with account payable personnel at the corporate office.
• Will be required to at times to negotiate terms and conditions with vendors

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS:

Two-year associate degree with minimum of 3 years of previous experience

High school diploma with a minimum of 5 years of previous experience

Familiar with and understands various accounting principles, concepts, practices and procedures

Very good command of verbal and written communication skills

Must be extremely detail orientated and with a high attention to accuracy

Function at the intermediate level when using Microsoft Office products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
