Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- North Carolina teaching license in history or related area
- Knowledge of NC Standard Course of Study
Skills, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Uses a variety of assessment data throughout the year to evaluate progress
- Establishes a safe environment that empowers students
- Works collaboratively with school personnel to create a professional learning community
- May assist in determining school budget and professional development
- Collaborates with colleagues to mentor and support teachers
- Advocates for positive change in policies and practices affecting student learning
- Participates in the implementation of initiatives to improve education
- Improves communication and collaboration between the school and the home and community
- Promotes trust and understanding and builds partnerships with the school community
- Teachers integrate and utilize technology in their instruction
