Job Summary

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Chandler, AZ

Shift: Mon – Fri, 7 am – 4 pm

Wage: ~$20 per hour

What we’re looking for:

Education: High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience: 2+ years of material handling, inventory replenishment, and/or customer service experience is required.

Collaboration Tool: Microsoft office suite experience including proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, and/or purchasing.
• Excellent customer service skills with a can-do demeanor.
• Must be motivated to work, able to self-manage, have forward thinking, and able to prioritize tasks to meet goals.
• Able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with the customer and the Avantor team.
• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.
• High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Cross referencing and inside sales experience desired (not required).

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

• Preform inventory management related functions such as monitoring slow moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, physical inventories, and reporting.
• Processing inventory movement requests and fulfilling customer metric reporting.
• Purchasing, back-order reporting and expediting, direct factory shipments, 3rd party support, handling quotes, documentation and records maintenance, and resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
• Providing a high level of customer service including answering questions, providing updates, and reporting on all things related to inventory management.
• Shipping coordination activities such as shipping customer material, handling routine issues, operating basic warehouse equipment, entering shipping information into the customer computer system, and equipment inspections.
• Responsible for handling hazardous material and preparing shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
• Uses Avantor and customer computer systems (SAP, Citrix, Intranet, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, ChemSW, and customer specific systems) in fulfillment of job duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
