Job Description
As the Technical Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the Engine Prototype vehicle build and vehicle maintenance for semi-trucks. You are responsible for managing a team of 10 automotive technicians. You will be responsible for the scheduling and approval of overtime for represented technician employees.
Requirements:
- Three years minimum of supervisor experience
- Commercial Truck Shop or Union Manufacturing Experience
- ASE or other accreditation(s) preferred
Directly responsible for the following forms of service:
- SharePoint tracking: Work Order, Move Orders, and crib storage
- Powertrain, Assembly Room and E Program problem resolution support
- Communicate with applicable engineering customer and\or group to comprehend build and maintenance requirements and ensure Work Orders included Key powertrain Spec Requirements
- Continue to push 5S principles in the technician group work areas
- Execute contractual agreement with represented UAW 412 technician employees
- Timecard management for represented UAW 412 technician employees
- Scheduling and approving of overtime for represented UAW 412 technician employees
- Assign UAW 412 technician resources to support Functional Test Team
- Document and execute discipline in accordance with represented UAW 412 technician employee’s contract.
- Distribute SharePoint Work requests to UAW 412 technicians and confirm task completion
- Assign group technicians to specific work locations or Work Orders based on expertise and schedule(s)
- Participate in engine build meetings in lab to assure instrumentation and requirements understood
