POSITION OVERVIEW

Ensure all shipments are made in an accurate, timely, cost effective and efficient fashion.

Full time

2nd Shift runs from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring all orders are accurately picked within 24 hours and in compliance with

customer requirements as stated in Vendor Compliance Guide

• Maintaining the highest level of productivity and throughput
• Maintaining all daily/weekly productivity statistics
• Managing the maintenance of the shipping department area, including all staging

locations

• Establishing the most efficient prepping and staging scenario to help facilitate the

loading of trucks the following morning

• Routine observation of the sorting lanes to ensure they are running throughout the night.
• Managing staff consisting of supervisors, drivers, scanners, and material handlers
• Share in the security alarm call response for after hour alarm calls
• Monitor monthly expense report to ensure targets are met
• Ensure that auditors are accurately auditing all pallets
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure and orderly facility using QA and 5S guidelines
• Follow Distribution Center Standard Operating Procedures
• Create daily goals for shipping department and post daily on production board
• Monitor departmental and office supply needs and order as needed
• Ensure all orders are processed within 24 hours
• Ship approximately 10,000 to 20,000 cartons per day
• Day, Night, and Swing shifts

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

Shipping Manager

• Radio Frequency based paperless warehouse experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PKMS, and JD Edwards software packages a plus
• Minimum of 5+ years management experience in a Distribution Center environment
• Experience within an automated environment a plus
• Shipping Management experience, a plus
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
• Ability to evaluate and dive deep into data to provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions
