  • This job is a member of the Integrated Operations Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
  • Responsible for performing analysis of audit and operational data to identify potential discrepancies with maintenance and inspection programs, performs risk and root cause analysis, interfaces with Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the identification of the root cause of system deficiencies in maintenance and inspection programs, and evaluates current processes and procedures for effectiveness. This job is also responsible for preparing reports related to safety for upper and senior management.

What you'll do

  • Develops analytical tools focusing on systems that capture data needed to measure trends of operational, quality audits, investigations, and safety data
  • Conducts analysis of operational data obtained through quality audits, investigations, and safety reviews to provide mitigation recommendations to management
  • Creates and edits reports and analysis intended to highlight and resolve safety related issues throughout the corporation
  • Determines root cause of system deficiencies of Maintenance and Inspection programs by interfacing with the operational, audit, and reliability departments
  • Reviews analysis results to determine risk associated with maintenance and inspection programs Conduct follow-up analysis to ensure compliance with and test the effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions

  • Capture and track key action items to ensure continued progress against departments objectives
  • Engage with Tech Ops departments and other operational departments to support initiatives while gaining a working knowledge of day-to-day compliance risk management activities
  • Facilitate the collection and summary of data to produce accurate and reliable information for decision making and to support risk assessment, monitoring, surveillance, and reporting

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or aviation related field or equivalent experience in air carrier maintenance, quality assurance or operations
  • Experience in metrics, development of Dashboards and data analysis


Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Leadership experience within Tech Ops
  • 5 years experience with airline maintenance and the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to establish and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to self-manage time schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) processes
  • FAA certification such as A&P, Dispatch, Pilot licenses, etc.


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations, AA maintenance and operations programs, Company policies and safety procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to establish and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to self-manage time schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management
