The Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the balance sheet account reconciliation tool which includes performing system maintenance, implementing system updates and configuration changes, performing changes in system access, updates in master data and revisions in reconciliation system settings and data.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Setup, change and discontinue user access based on user and management requests
  • Perform system configurations changes based on system requirements and management direction.
  • Provide guidance to account reconciliation preparers and approvers on system processes and procedures and resolving technical issues
  • Assign new GL accounts to reconciliation accounts and groups, load month-end foreign exchange rates, open and close reconciliation periods, and update monthly reconciliation due dates
  • Make changes to who prepares and approves reconciliations and update reconciliation accounts/groups, access groups and GL accounts as needed or directed
  • Periodically review reconciliation account groupings to ensure that they ad to Corporate guidelines
  • Generates and distribute periodic reports on reconciliation quality and completion status. Follow up with delinquent submitters to insure timely submission.
  • Provide reconciliations with support to auditors or internal business partners when requested
  • Perform processes such as uploading subledgers, refreshing account balances, and application of AutoRec rules
  • Update the system for annual changes in the risk factor and the frequency of reconciliations
  • Provide guidance to balance sheet reconciliation Preparers and Approvers on the proper use of the account reconciliation tool.
  • Perform ad-hoc requests and projects when requested and other duties as assigned.

What We Look For in a Candidate


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient working knowledge of reconciliation software, Excel.
  • Understanding of the Balance Sheet reconciliation process
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Goal and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated ability to set priorities and complete projects.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed
  • SQL, OneStream, or SAP experience a plus.


Preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of account reconciliations and accounting policies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Goal and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated ability to set priorities and complete projects
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of OneStream or Blackline software a plus
  • Minimum of two years preparing and/or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
