Position Overview
A Senior Project Manager (SPM) in the Residential Lending Operations Department is responsible for heading and leading an assigned project or task from its inception to execution. This includes planning, execution and managing stakeholders, resources and scope of the project. SPM must have the discipline to create clear and attainable objectives and to see them through to successful completion. It is also his duty to provide coaching and guidance to the team members about every aspect of the project.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for successful launch coordination of new products
- Manage, create and update ad hoc reports as needed
- Furnish Board Executive level presentation decks
- Partner with peer-level stakeholders across Residential Lending Operations and Sales teams to scope and ensure consistency in Project and/or report needs are met
- Facilitate and participate in meetings when necessary and obtain appropriate level of approvals (Officers Loan Committee, Directors Loan Committee, Compliance, Legal, etc.)
- Provides professional support and direction to Project Sponsor
- Provides leadership and strategic direction, coaching, training, development and feedback to project team
- Initiates and supports process improvement activity and helps embed a culture of continue improvement. To facilitate change through projects.
- Maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility
- Special Projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a strong analytical skill set and people skills
- Must have experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Solid working knowledge of Crystal Reports and familiarity with other similar report writing applications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Retail or Wholesale Mortgage Environment.
Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of the entire loan workflow (origination, processing, underwriting, closing, funding, loan delivery)
- Ability to work in a team environment, presenting a professional image and commanding respect of staff, peers, and senior management
- Strong Project Management and leadership skills to launch and develop new products and procedures
- Have a working knowledge of Regulatory and Investor Guidelines
- General office environment - must be able sit for long periods, stand and walk to various meetings
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Project Management or equivalent work experience

Hiring salary range: $87,543.20 - $131,314.80 annual
