If so, we have a great opportunity for you! Volvo Group is hiring a Senior Product Quality Leader to support Mack Trucks globally based in Greensboro, NC.

Who We Are
Our team, Product Quality, is part of the Quality & Customer Satisfaction organization. We support Volvo Group Truck products operating in North America and for Mack globally through investigating, prioritizing, and leading solving activities of market product quality issues. We are responsible to investigate potential vehicle field quality issues and drive them towards resolution through Product Development, Purchasing and the Manufacturing organizations. We contribute to the Product Development process with our customer and aftermarket knowledge.

What You Will be Doing
As a Senior Product Quality Leader within the Product Quality NA department, you will be responsible for guiding vehicle product quality investigations to resolve customer truck issues for select global and domestic products. This demands high levels of product knowledge, problem solving, & ability to work with global colleagues across the engineering, production, purchasing & field service network. Focus will include Legacy Technologies, as well as emerging such as Battery Electric.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating product performance drivers for assigned products domestically and in regions outside of USMCA through a data driven approach
  • Performing pre-investigation of field quality issues, through use of enhanced analytics
  • Prioritizing quality actions inside Volvo Group to achieve committed quality targets for assigned products
  • Recommending appropriate quality solving tool for an identified field issue
  • Being accountable for supporting Market Quality Report (MQR) / Dealer Quality Report (DQR) once issued for assigned Mack product
  • Leading quality solving activities with cross functional support for quality issues that require an enhanced / urgent focus
  • Ensuring communication on product quality for Mack Global Brand across the organization / regions outside of USMCA
  • Lead and/or support, when necessary, Quality Action Groups for new technologies supporting the smooth transition from project to serial production.
  • Clear communication and reporting on product quality or on customer satisfaction within the company.
  • Assisting Volvo Group Regional Service Managers in investigations of complex problems

Who You Are
You are a fact based individual, with proven data analytical skills that can be applied in a variety of problem-solving situations. You are very organized, with the ability to plan and execute accordingly. Communication skills with a customer focused mindset are important values you must possess. Negotiation and ability to network with people is key in this role.

Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5-8+ years of automotive industry experience, preferably in a service or maintenance related role
  • Analytics Experience: Strong foundation, development experience a plus
  • Experience in dealership operations or in a position with direct dealer interface
  • Judgement abilities for prioritizing issues adding value for both customer and brand
  • English: Fluent (speaking, reading, writing)
