Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with a deep expertise in agile methodologies and a proven track record in the financial industry to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of digital banking products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
This is a critical role that will radically change how we approach digital channels today and shape the future of digital banking. The successful candidate will have a player/coach mentality, establishing team norms, setting a fast pace, and executing with an eye on outcomes.
Reporting to the Director, Digital Channels, you will work closely with the bank's leadership team to support and execute the digital roadmap, ensure that the digital channels are fully integrated with the bank's other channels, and provide a seamless customer experience. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the digital channels are fully compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in executing on digital products, with a focus on banking and financial services required.
- Expertise in agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate product requirements and vision.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver high-quality products and services.
Principal Activities and Duties:
- Lead the development and execution of digital banking products and services, working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Define and prioritize product features based on importance versus difficulty – ensuring that strategic goals are achieved through tactical, daily execution.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap, working closely with development teams and product managers to ensure timely delivery of key features.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and ensure that products meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Work with the UX/UI to ensure that product designs meet customer needs and are consistent with the bank's brand and user experience standards.
- Work with the Director, Digital Channels to develop and execute on the bank's digital strategy.
- Monitor team velocity to optimize and rebalance as needed to achieve performance goals.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in digital banking.
