  • 10+ years of experience leading a team to drive standardization in day-to-day field-based pick-up, delivery operations design and automation solutions
  • Experience leading, implementing and improving facility layout and design; working knowledge of design tools, such as AutoCAD
Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager Process Engineering to support the Amazon Logistics North America (AMZL NAPE) Process Engineering team. The Senior Manager Process Engineering is responsible for leading a large team of engineers to support process design and management inside the facilities and on the road. The team will drive building standards and standard operating procedures to minimize variation and maximize throughput, scale and drive continuous improvement in designs. This team is also responsible for designing, managing and executing the next generation of delivery station processes, equipment, and operations. This is a unique opportunity to own new innovation projects that will advance the intelligence of our last mile business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for North America Process Engineering – Final Mile
  • Manage a high-performing team of Process Engineers; drive standardization in day-to-day, field-based pick-up, delivery operations and MHE solutions across Amazon
  • Lead Strategic projects and Partner with operational leaders within the Delivery Stations to execute implementation of process improvements driving stabilization and standardization across the network.
  • Serve as primary information source for your team and the larger network of operational leaders in the Delivery Stations.
  • Mentor, train, and develop team of process engineers for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes.
  • Manage and improve facility and field engineering processes utilizing lean methodologies
  • Manage large, complex engineering initiatives across North America
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible
  • Manage large projects for North America Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget)
  • Drive Innovations across the Engineering Org
  • Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational execution of software enhancements
  • 25% regional travel depending on business needs
Key job responsibilities
  • Experience identifying innovations and perform experiments to create processes that increase customer value across multiple countries. This includes the ability to evaluate the opportunity of think big ideas for stakeholder adoption and scale.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to create and document design improvements that are a critical input to the legacy network and new sites. These documents are the lifeline for every design engineer to ensure that every site operates correctly.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a high speed, high growth and ambiguous environment to help a new business scale while providing regular communication to stakeholders and senior management which would raise the bar.
  • Understand what the right inputs are to deliver quantitative and qualitative products with quality and speed.
  • MBA or Masters of Engineering is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Experience managing the implementation of large engineering projects and initiatives; experience collaborating with various groups (procurement, finance, HR, etc.) to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Experience working with project management tools/software

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
