Overview:

Steampunk is seeking a Process Administrator to join our Security team in our Tysons Corner, Virginia office. Your primary responsibility will be to support the security onboarding team in managing and administering the security processing of candidates and employees as efficiently as possible for their performance on federal contracts. You must be a self-motivated, well-organized individual with a clear and concise communication style. You must have the ability and desire to develop and maintain successful working relationships with Steampunk employees, government customers, and their personnel security offices. This position will work in the Washington DC metropolitan area during core business hours.

Contributions:

  • Prepare and submit candidate security and public trust clearance paperwork to federal agencies
  • Track and follow-up with candidates to ensure timely processing of paperwork
  • Act as point of contact for candidates and employees for day-to-day questions and issues that arise
  • Assist with candidate eQIP initiations and periodic reinvestigation maintenance
  • Assess pre-employment Background Screenings
  • Conduct pre-employment security screening interviews, as required
  • Coordinate fingerprint appointments for employees and candidates, as required
  • Coordinate badging and equipment meetings for employees
  • Secure and maintain personnel security records
  • Develop written process documents
  • Assist in conducting security education and training programs
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with employees and candidates as well as government counterparts to facilitate security processing
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance from the DoD. The candidate must be capable of coordinating security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Bachelor’s degree or a High School diploma with relevant experience
  • Highly organized
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
