Homeschool Lead Teacher
Location: Ponte Vedra, FL *specific address to be revealed at a later date
A few important details:
- The facility opening date is still TBD, but we are looking for a teacher to start as of August regardless.
- It is important that we find someone who is looking to grow with us as we anticipate a lot of interest from local communities.
- The right person will take a hands-on approach, will appreciate the arts & sciences, and will roll up their sleeves to help us make this the best experience for our children.
A little about our growing program:
Two families have joined together to open a homeschool co-op / recreational facility. We are looking for our first and Lead Teacher, to assist with establishing our curriculum, program, and to lead the efforts as the Head Teacher of this new and exciting community. We will be using a set curriculum (TBD) and expect this teacher to lead the efforts in maintaining the state requirements for homeschool curriculum and submissions.

Responsibilities:
- Teach a homeschool pod with children up to 8 years old for the initial program launch. Note, we expect to expand programming in years to come so the age range may fluctuate.
- Maintaining all students’ portfolios for submission to the State of Florida as required.
- Documented records and a log of educational activities must be preserved for 2 years, and available for inspection (by the district school superintendent) upon 15 days’ written notice.
- Create lessons using chosen homeschool curriculum and supplemental programming.
- Submit an annual evaluation for all students enrolled in programming. You must file with the district school superintendent’s office and they must approve it.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years teaching grades K-4
- FL State Teaching Certificate (or ability to transfer an out of state license)
Preferred Experience:
- Homeschool teaching experience.
- Knowledge of homeschool curriculum.
- Familiarity with the state of Florida requirements
