We are looking for part time tasting room personnel to join our amazing team to work in our fast paced, exciting winery. Experience Needed

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Sales experience in a winery environment preferred
  • General knowledge of winemaking preferred
  • Prior experience with POS systems and computer literacy preferred
  • Willingness to learn about our wines and our philosophy
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening events
  • Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physically able to lift and move up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
  • Active TABC and TX Food Handler certifications upon hire
  • Ability to achieve WSET Level 1 certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Be a Lone Star Wine Cellars ambassador by promoting our brand, wines, wine club memberships, and events
  • Attentively serve all guests with high levels of enthusiasm, energy, and attention to detail
  • Prepare food and wine orders
  • Describe our wines and winery history; provide answer to visitors’ questions
  • Provide general Downtown McKinney neighborhood information
  • Handle routine sales transactions that include operating the register
  • Assist with display and stocking of retail wines and kitchen supplies
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of facilities
  • Assist with special events (as needed)
  • Represent winery at outside functions (as needed)
  • Understand and properly process winery specific order requests
  • Understand and assist with sound system adjustments (as needed)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager
  • Continually increase product and sales knowledge
