The sucessful candidate will report to the Regional EHS Hub Manager, this position will support multiple North American sites in their environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning and improving existing programs as well as helping to develop new ideas and solutions. Some tasks will be common among the sites, others will be site specific; the sites supported will identify the exact duties needed for this specialist position.
This role will be remote or hybrid traveling between TX and VA (two sites each state). The goal is to provide bench strength for the North American EHS program and offer a development path to becoming an EHS Manager. Tasks in this position will range from entry level to more advanced data mining, training development, and study of key indicators/metrics.
Candidate must be willing to work in a chemical manufacturing environment associated with PSM/RMP requirements. A strong work ethic is required due to the remote work aspect of the position. Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines.
Education: BS Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health, or an Environment related field of study is needed.
Training: Knowledge of EHS regulations is needed. Strong Safety and Environmental understanding is a plus.
Experience: 0-5 years EHS experience at plant level desired
Strong communication and computer abilities are a necessity. Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously is desired.
Up to 50% travel to other sites is required.
