Resident Advisor provides direct, individualized, supportive care to residents of the Rights of Passage program, a program that provides supportive housing to youth who are striving to live independently.
Assist residents with the implementation of their goals, case plans and daily schedules.
Provide input to determine goals; evaluate performance.
Monitor resident activities within the building to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
Facilitate and monitor life skills groups, community meals, recreation, activities and other services.
Participate as a member on committees established at Rights of Passage.
Participate in case management staff meetings and attend required training.
Work with residents as needed, including escorts for activities outside of the building.
Document all interactions with youth on caseload and those outside of caseload with whom contact is made or information is received.
Provide accurate and complete reporting of grant related information.
Assists as needed with fund raising affairs and special events which could be conducted outside of the employee’s normal work schedule.
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred
Excellent communication and crisis management skills.
Excellent assessment and judgment capabilities.
Valid NJ driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
