Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their team to provide mid to senior-level technical support and management for several federal and state projects. This person will be responsible for the scoping, planning and execution of large environmental investigations programs, client coordination, and subcontractor management. The ideal candidate will be technically oriented with environmental investigation/remediation and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Day-to-Day:

  • Coordinating with federal end client and internal staff
  • Determine project needs based on requirements, develop parameters for environmental investigation and remediation execution, set milestone schedules and track progress
  • Oversee a team in the development of designs, calculations and workflow for investigation and remediation of hazardous waste sites
  • Manage multi-media sampling programs
  • Produce technical specifications, scopes and cost estimates to support subcontractor procurement
  • Oversee subcontractors on site to ensure work is being completed in compliance with contract specifications, track pay items to support invoice verification
  • Prepare environmental reports for regulatory submittal and review

Must Haves:

  • Bachelors Degree in engineering (chemical or environmental preferred)
  • 8-10 years of experience in the environmental engineering/consulting industry or related
  • Must include experience working with investigation or remediation of hazardous waste sites (CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA or other environmental clean-up programs)
  • Experience working directly with federal clients
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
