Your Job


Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer at our Foley Cellulose facility in Perry, Florida. The Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining equipment reliability through design and execution of effective programs to develop management strategies to manage risk and mitigate the consequences of failures.


Our Team


This role supports the electrical reliability team and reports to the E&I Maintenance Leader.


What You Will Do

  • Build a 3-to-5-year electrical inspection plan for your area
  • Facilitate development and on-going completion of equipment maintenance strategies
  • Facilitate formal Root-Cause Analysis for failure elimination of bad actors
  • Provide reliability expertise during design and implementation of new assets
  • Work with other engineering disciplines, operations, and maintenance in a team environment on various types of electrical systems to include installation, upgrades, and modifications
  • Work with contractors and mill personnel on power distribution equipment and testing – manage contractor work effort to support a project schedule
  • Support the repair or replacement on faulty electrical elements of equipment including motors, relays, and switches
  • Provide direction on preventive and predictive maintenance of electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain metrics with tracking and reporting systems
  • Knowledge and effective utilization of available predictive maintenance tools
  • Provide technical support to maintenance for precision repair

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering (EE) OR an electrical engineering technology (EET) associate degree/technical diploma AND machine reliability experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading Root-Cause Analysis and troubleshooting efforts
  • Experience with pulp and paper manufacturing technology and systems
  • Experience with: Three phase power distribution, 480V three phase motors with variable frequency drive configurations, AC/DC drives and motors, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
