Critical Care Float RN – Swing Shift- F/T

As the Critical Care Float Nurse, you are able to function independently to provide safe, quality and clinically competent care. The Critical Care Float Nurse is able to plan, implement, evaluate and document care that is in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
The Critical Care Float Nurse provides short term care and treatment to adult and pediatric patients to include but not limited to assisting in monitoring critical care patient during transport to diagnostic testing, and being a ready resource, responding to all inpatient RRTs, Cardiac arrest codes, MTPs, and code stat intubation. In addition, this nurse will follow up on all recent ICU transfers to medical surgical units, to ensure safe transition, as well as all rapid responses who have not been transferred to an escalated level of care.
This person will be an additional resource to the staff to assist in the ED in times of surge, facilitate patient through put within the critical care division, and provide direct patient care assisting in bedside procedures within the critical care division. The Critical Care Float Nurse will be responsible to record data and quality metrics as defined by the PCD.

This is a full time mid-shift (11 AM - 11 PM) position located at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.
