Role and Responsibilities
This is a contract/project based role. The individual in this position will play an integral role by supporting the portfolio management team in the financial analysis, tracking and reporting on the company’s real estate assets. This position will report to and support the Executive team on analytical and strategic aspects of the company’s real estate including while not limited to internal and external valuations, hold/sell recommendations, lease analysis, etc.
- Prepare property and portfolio level financial valuation models based on information collected from various sources. Manage the general and provide precise financial reporting
- Perform research and prepare materials to provide financial analysis to support financing, acquisition, marketing and leasing of properties.
- Provide real estate analytics including demographics, sales distribution, trade area analysis.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends and standards. Gather market research and develop external sources of data in target markets.
- Maintain thorough market awareness in targeted markets through direct research and review of third-party research.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based models based on various business functions such as acquisitions, capital raise, etc.
- Work with various departments within the company to develop accurate and reasonable data and assumptions to utilize in the models. Support the Executive team through creation and maintenance of a database containing property level statistics
- Recognize efficiencies by automating manual processes and implementing system enhancements. Evaluate the effectiveness of software and supporting systems where needed.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends and standards
- Work cross-functionally with our Business Development, Operations & Guest Relations, Accounting and Senior Management teams
Qualifications
- 2+ years in analyst role within real estate field
- Willingness to learn, assimilate, and communicate what you know and what you don’t know honestly/directly
- Positive attitude, amazing verbal and written communication skills, and great passion for working smart and proactively
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
- Demonstrated hands-on execution abilities and the ability to take on initiatives without direction
- Expertise with PC-based systems including Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel capabilities – building and proofing of financial models)
- Experience working in the real estate industry is a plus, but it’s not required
- 4-year college degree in business administration, real estate, finance, economics or related discipline is required

The primary location will be based out of our office near West Hollywood.
