Student Helper II, Psychiatry

UC Health is hiring a contracted Student Helper for the Psychiatry department.

Under the direction of the Accreditation Analyst, the Regulatory Compliance Student Helper II will assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective and comprehensive auditing and monitoring program consistent with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation for Hospitals, The Joint Commission Hospital Standards and Accreditation Process, and other regulatory agency requirements. The Regulatory Compliance Student Helper II will participate in training activities, auditing, and monitoring, and will provide assistance with compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and implementing compliance auditing and monitoring strategies and tools related to identified risk areas and federal, state, and other regulatory agency requirements.
• Conducts on-site regulatory compliance audits.
• Collects and maintains data from chart reviews, unit self-audits, and Epic electronic audits. Manages data and produce reports identifying deficiencies.
• Provides support with knowledge of policies, procedures and training requirements.
• Works with Accreditation Analyst and/or other Leadership as needed to improve and/or maintain compliance.
• Develops compliance audit tools to be utilized by the regulatory department as well as for unit specific self-assessments and education and training.
• Maintains current knowledge of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and The Joint Commission required documentation and other related regulations impacting compliance auditing and monitoring.
• Assists in keeping auditing and monitoring program current.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Health Care Related preferred
• One to two years' equivalent experience
