JOB DESCRIPTION:



The Product Owner is responsible for defining the vision and roadmap, leading the prioritization of initiatives, and overseeing the solution architecture for Information Technology (IT) applications supporting the Procure to Pay, Accounting, Treasury and Compliance functions. The Product Owner designs the experience of aligning desired business outcomes to a roadmap of IT initiatives and communicating the plan and the achievement of those outcomes to business and IT management.

This role has a matrixed job structure. A Team Member in a matrixed job has multiple reporting relationships. Reporting lines are often based on functional and business groups in which the job supports, with functional department typically being the primary. In this role, the primary reporting relationship is to the Chief Financial Officer, and secondly to the Chief Information Technology Officer. Identified managers set explicit expectations and have input into this role’s job performance.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:



Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

  • Works with senior business stakeholders to assess the maturity, criticality, and state of business capabilities in Procure to Pay, Accounting, Treasury, and Compliance.
  • Assesses the use of existing and emerging technologies in supporting the area's objectives.
  • Develops a long-term business application roadmap that addresses end-to-end business capability needs with input from industry best practices.
  • Leads the requirements definition and solution design for the major initiatives in the roadmap.
  • Oversees the design of all system changes in the area, ensuring we implement scalable, future-proof solutions.
  • Works in partnership with the business to create business cases and define Rentun On Investment for major initiatives.
  • Leads/participates in vendor and application evaluations to select the appropriate technology to support business needs.
  • Collaborates with IT delivery teams by providing architectural guidance to ensure successful implementations.
  • Collaborates with the Financial Planning and Analysis team in designing and developing insights capability for Finance.
  • Engages with system and process experts to perform thorough impact analysis to all connected systems with the big picture in mind.
  • Prepares executive level presentations and proposals as well as detailed requirement and design documentation.
  • Proactively seeks out new system features and capabilities to address Finance challenges.
  • Works with key applications/technology included in scope: NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of specific product management experience required.
  • Advanced computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email. and Internet.
  • Ability to utilize deep understanding of Finance processes and systems.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

  • The Team Member is usually subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • The Team Member is occasionally subject to outside environmental conditions and to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
