We are launching a new to-go only restaurant concept, which will be the first and only of its kind in Long Beach! The menu is delicious and we're expanding our team.

Are you an experienced prep cook or line cook who knows how to work with a team and always get orders out on time? Know restaurant depot like it's your back yard? Love a clean and organized kitchen? We'd love to have you join our team!

Typical Duties:

• Prepping ingredients and sauces
• Cooking to-go orders
• Labeling and storing all food and other items
• Using our TOAST system to receive orders in the kitchen
• Maintain a safe and clean kitchen
• Shopping for ingredients(as needed)

Requirements:

• Cooks must have 3+ years’ experience working in prep kitchens, or restaurants.
• Must have a passion for food and know how to properly season food.
• Must have California food handlers or managers certification - Handle all food according to food health and safety standards
• Must have an eye for culinary presentation
• Should enjoy cooking new foods and being creative
• Can prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, poultry, vegetable and cold food items based on Executive Chef's recipes
• Can maintain cleanliness and storage of preparation equipment, pots, pans and utensils.
• Can shop for ingredients and maintain inventory lists while minimizing food waste.
• Everyone on our staff must know how to properly clean and sanitize a kitchen. A clean kitchen is a safe and happy kitchen!
• Must be able to work efficiently and at times under time restraints
• Be on time, every time. We pride ourselves on having on time deliveries and that starts with our staff.
• Certifications such as Food Managers, TIPS, LEAD, and ABC are a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for 8 hours.

Pay: $17.00 to $20.00/hour

Shifts available: Tuesday - Sunday - 9am - 4pm & 3pm - 10pm

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Masks and other PPE are available for team members to wear as needed.
