Phlebotomist- Oswego Hospital and satellite locations
The Phlebotomist obtains blood samples from patients, residents, clients, and customers of all ages, from newborn to geriatrics, using the appropriate technique.
Also, performs urine drug screen collections. Use hospital vehicle or personal vehicle, if hospital’s vehicle is unavailable to safely transport specimens, requisitions and supplies from clinics or offices to the appropriate laboratory department. Practices all infection control standards. Must be flexible as phlebotomy site may vary. Ability to work independently.
High school diploma or GED required; Graduate of phlebotomy/medical assistant program with phlebotomy internship rotation or EMT experience desired. Unit specific orientation. Minimum of 3 months experience preferred.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle. May work at other sites as needed.
