One of our government clients- the District of Columbia is looking for a PeopleSoft HCM Functional Subject Matter Expert in North American Payroll solutions along with Retro pay processing knowledge.
Job Title: SME - PeopleSoft HCM North American Payroll Functional SME
Job Type: Hybrid (**THREE DAYS A WEEK ONSITE**)
Location: 200 I St. SE Washington DC 20003. (THREE DAYS A WEEK ONSITE)
Contract : 5 Month
Local Candidates Preffred
Overall, 16 years of IT experience, a minimum of 5 years of functional experience in PeopleSoft HCM version 9.2 with Payroll for North America, Time and Labor, Commitment Accounting, and Retroactive processing methods
- Provide incident, service request, problem, change/ enhancement management support for PeopleSoft 9.2 environment
- Provide technical and functional support
- Deliver to service levels, take steps to improve KPIs on an ongoing basis
- Conduct meetings with all PS HCM team members.
- Provide daily/ weekly/ monthly status to stakeholders
- Escalate issues when needed
- Provide guidance to the technical team and business users, as needed
- Liaise with all client stakeholders and provide clarifications, information to management
- Record and preserve new knowledge in form of recordings, create knowledge articles
- Identify opportunities to improve service on a continuous basis
Role Responsibilities
- Requirements gathering for change requests and/or enhancements and manage end-to-end process.
- Responsible for ensuring the Function Design Documents (FDD) and Interface Maps provided to the Technical Team is clearly understood prior to any development. Works with the technical team to define and test any potential customizations to the solution, including data conversions, reports, interfaces, and functional enhancements
- Define and setup retroactive payroll processing
- Interactions with various client stakeholders, attend meetings
- The candidate must possess in-depth functional knowledge and experience in North American Payroll, Time & Labor and Commitment Accounting.
- Working knowledge of Core HR and Benefits Administration and how it relates to the payroll engine.
- Candidate must possess knowledge of Application engine programs, SQRs, IB, CI, DMS, PS Query and PeopleCode.
- Experience with the U.S. Federal installation of PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
1. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements.
2. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications.
3. Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience;
