DescriptionPart-Time TellerDuties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent service to the members by listening, educating and identifying their needs and cross-selling all products/services that meet those needs and, at the same time, help the credit union to prosper.
- Reflects the credit union's core values in their daily activities and at any time they represent the credit union.
- Provide extraordinary and consistent service to all internal and external contacts.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date on sales, products, member service techniques and operational processes.
- Assists members with basic transactions in the lobby and drive up, such as making deposits, withdrawals, and Visa cash advances.
- Verifies members' identities and ensures all paperwork is completed correctly.
- Answers members' questions about their accounts and our products and services.
- Balances drawer multiple times daily to ensure accuracy.
- Understanding and following credit union regulations and procedures.
- Issue Visa gift cards.
- Answers telephone, transferring calls to proper departments if unable to assist.
- Disburses money from vault to tellers as needed, and when possible.
- Knows credit union’s philosophy and policies so as to answer inquiries of a general nature.
- Organize previous days work; including balancing disbursed corporate checks and completing the cash control form.
- Counts and balances vault daily. Keeps vault cash record and accounts for all money in vault. Orders cash for Credit union and ATM, including the balancing.
- Verifies that deposit total balances with branch totals.
- Processes all checks electronically at the end of the day.
- Orders and verifies weekly cash order.
- Processes transactions by phone and mail when requested.
- Informs Lead Teller/Branch Manager if equipment is not working properly or if more supplies are needed.
- Balances and remits cashier's checks.
- Balances cash dispenser.
- Assists in filing members folders, signature cards, and other documents.
- Maintain work area in orderly manner.
- Processes Stop Payments and assist members in addressing fraudulent transactions.
- Processes verification of deposit requests.
- Prepares coin/currency going weekly.
- Performs other duties and works other hours as assigned.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of bookkeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of cash handling/teller experience is preferred.
