Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Occupational Health Services group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as an Occupational Physician! This is a part time, casual (20-29 hours a week) position. Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at all of our facilities with every Friday off.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs as an Occupational/Industrial Physician in the Occupational Health Services (OHS) Division at Idaho National Lab (INL) in support of the INL Occupational Medicine Program.
  • Performs pre-placement, periodic, and termination exams for INL employees and medical evaluations for jobs requiring medical certification or surveillance.
  • Diagnoses and treats occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries for all INL employees. Performs wellness exams.
  • Establishes scientific standards of physical capacities for work and work restrictions and recommends placement in accordance with physical examination and return-to-work evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS


Minimum Requirements:

  • Eligibility for Idaho Board of Medicine license to practice in the state of Idaho as a physician (MD or DO) and 6 years of relevant experience
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • MD/DO licensed in the state of Idaho to practice as a physician with board certification in Occupational or Preventative Medicine, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine by start date.
  • Clinical medical experience to provide sound medical decisions and appropriate treatment for occupational medical issues.
  • Emergency patient care experience sufficient to provide medical decisions and treatment for accident victims, both industrial and personal in nature.
  • ACLS Certification;
  • DEA Licensure (Drug Enforcement Agency);
  • State of Idaho Pharmacy Registration.

Job Information

  • Salary Grade PR0500: 250 ($160,440 - $272,724)
