This is an opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal with strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of paralegal experience and will support litigation for practice areas including Family Law, Probate, and Real Estate.

We are a fast-paced law firm in need of a reliable and proactive Paralegal. The Paralegal will work directly with our attorney and staff to prepare for upcoming cases, get involved in fact-finding projects, and be responsible for developing and maintaining an index system for all case files. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, professional, responsible, and committed to helping us meet all of our client's needs.
Paralegal Duties:
  • Create reports for attorneys based on case specifications and attorney requests.
  • Work with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and another case filing.
  • Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases.
  • Conduct legal research.
  • Ensure deadlines are calendared and met.
  • Ensure Court rules are satisfied.
  • Work with an attorney directly on trial preparation, and discovery, to effectuate strategy development.
  • Ensure cases are trial ready for court presentation.
  • Part of the trial team that works with all firm staff to take a trial-bound case from retention to completion.
Paralegal Skills:
  • Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies is required (Bachelor’s degree is preferred) or a paralegal certificate.
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities.
  • Independent worker and self-starter.
  • Strong research and report-generating skills.
  • Experience in using legal database software.
  • Experience in logging and tracking billable time.
  • Ability to take direct constructive criticism with the desire to learn and improve.
  • Trustworthy.
  • Ability to listen and take direction.
