Job Description

The Outcomes and Graduate Success Coordinator is responsible for performing various employment preparation functions that support the employment and career pathing success of DevMountain graduates. This includes the following areas: job prep, job search health and wellness, events planning, career counseling and associated career services. The specific functions mentioned are conducted under the direction of the Outcomes and Graduate Success Director.
Essential Duties
  • Ensure that Graduates receive information necessary to obtain in-field employment
  • Proactively schedule and meet with graduates for our WebDev, iOS, QA, UX cohorts and ensure completion of assigned Graduate Success tasks
  • Save and coordinate in updating Graduate Success content (digital, print, etc)
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Graduate Success content library
  • Message, email and via remote options accomplish student and graduate / alumni meetings and 1 on 1 sessions as often as time permits or as the student/graduate needs
  • Proactively approach and schedule time with Alumni / Graduates of DevMountain
  • Complete assigned projects from the Director of Outcomes and Graduate Success as such information is received
  • Ensure that the Graduate Success Lifecycle is kept per program
  • Gather and interpret data as needed for the Outcomes and Graduate Success program
  • Coach on technical interviewing, resume and LinkedIn building.
  • Help with job search and interview preparation.
  • Conduct and track check ins with students once they have graduated until employment is obtained.
  • Research current labor market and/or Recruitment trends and support curriculum updates.
  • Coordinate with Mentors and Instructors on individual student progress and solutions
  • Identify and resolve employment related issues for students and graduates of the DevMountain programs
  • Evaluate student progress throughout coursework and beyond graduation
  • Collaborate on student data with outcomes and student success
  • Conduct/Lead classes on career progression and job search skills acquisition
Job Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask, easily adapt to a change, and appropriately prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
Work Experience
  • 2 years prior experience studying or working in either of the fields of HR, Counseling, Recruiting / Talent Acquisition
  • 6 months' prior experience in a career services role at a college / university
  • Prior experience building a new recruiting function in a corporate environment preferred
  • Experience working in the tech industry; must possess knowledge of tech trends and updates
  • Experience building relations with multiple departments and teams in a previous environment
Education
  • From an accredited institution; Bachelor’s degree required
Certificates, licenses and registrations
  • Certified Family Life Educator certification preferred
Other
  • Must be able to travel 0-10% of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Typical office setting.
  • Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant
  • Access information using a computer.
  • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain.
  • Effectively cope with stressful situations
  • Strong mental acuity
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
