How You’ll Make an Impact

• Manage all plant production operations at the facility in safe and compliant manner.
• Develop, refine and administer all plant operations procedures and programs
• Demonstrate a high degree of ingenuity to support the optimization of plant equipment through the scheduling and performance of corrective/preventative maintenance and the utilization of new products and methods.
• Maintain an elevated level of interaction with maintenance and operations personnel. Supervise, manage, and evaluate personnel in the operations group. Administering the plant training and operation qualification programs.
• Lead and administer all plant safety programs including LOTO, Hot Work Permits, Safe Work Permits and Confined Space Entry.
• Coordinate outages in conjunction with the Plant Manager and customer dispatch.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of power plant experience
• Engineering or technical degree required. HS diploma/GED and relevant training/experience may be considered.
• Requires a thorough understanding of all aspects of power plant operation and a good working knowledge of combustion and steam turbines, generators, boilers and instruments and controls. Siemens-Energy V84.3A (2) gas turbine experience is a plus.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to supervise nonexempt personnel.
• Requires a strong ability to present, explain and defend rationale behind actions taken during business in a concise and logical manner
